Here are 9 types of yoga. 

Ashtanga Yoga: it was created by K. Pattabhi Jois. Ashtanga means eight limbs. It contains physically challenging sequence of postures. It is excellent for more skillful yogis as it demands stamina and coordinating your breathing with a continuous sequence of postures. 

Bikram Yoga: if you want to release a lot of sweating then this type of yoga is definitely for you.  It is great for learners. It was founded by bikram chaudhary. A bikram yoga session comprises 90 minutes series of 26 poses in a hot room. It increase flexibility and aids the detox process.

Iyengar Yoga: created by a well-known Indian yogi B.K.S. Iyengar. This type of yoga adjusts the misalignments of the body. You have to be in various postures griping your breath.  It includes the use of supports such as blocks, chairs, straps etc. learners should skip this type of yoga, it is best for yoga sticklers. 

Vinyasa Yoga: vinyasa means “arranging something in a specific manner”. This type of yoga is physically tough. It targets your upper and core body. It works same as a cardio workout. You need to match the movement accompanying breath to move from one pose to the next.
